I travel, I eat and I write. Those are about the only things that have been consistently true about me in this lifetime. At the outset of 2011, I wasn’t doing any of those things that I loved so much; so, like most things in my nature, they came back with a vengeance and a purpose.  This blog is a place where I get to express my love for those things, through my own lens as a perpetual traveler, always a resident outsider. These are the stories of having one flip flopped, pedicured foot in the door and another callused and galoshed trudging outward.

I’m one familiar with being in the ‘in between’ places. I often dwell in those nebulous intermediary experiences of being where I am and where I want to be, and I’d like to think that I can take those experiences with humor, grace, and candor. This online space will tackle my ideas of progress and the processes towards it. Sometimes, it is physical – the adventure of traveling from one destination to another. And sometimes, it is psychological – the difficulties of deciding what a better ‘me’ looks like and the best ways to become her.

This blog is part therapy (what’s in it for me) and part story-telling (what’s in it for you). Hopefully, you won’t get bored with my musings or annoyed with all the ‘I’ statements. But, I’ll do my best to be honest about where I’ve been, why I’ve been there, and whether or not you should give a damn.

So, be patient with me and be kind to yourself.

I’ll try to make reading worth your while.
